St. Joan of Arc C.Y.O. Basketball

MEMO TO PARENTS AND PLAYERS: Please refer to the schedule below for our annual registration and tryout schedules for both boys and girls. Returning players need not bring birth certificates, however new players should bring a copy of their birth certificate. Do not bring basketballs to the tryouts. All parents wishing to coach should sign up at registration.

Each player will be provided new a uniform which they will keep at the end of the season. The cost of this uniform is included in the registration fee below.

Both boys and girls have one scheduled tryout session per grade. It is important for players to attend their scheduled tryout but if they absolutely can?t make it, they will still be placed on teams. Wear ordinary practice gear and bring a water bottle.

Because of the larger number of boys trying out, we will also have "call back" try-outs for boys grades 4-8. These call backs are to allow the American (upper division) coaches the opportunity for a second, more manageable look at players. There will be a limited number of boys, around 20, that will be called back for a second try-out for the American team. This try-out will allow for higher level, more detailed drills, competitive scrimmages and the ability for the coaches to see fewer boys in a much less hectic atmosphere. This will also give the parents and the boys, the opportunity to communicate to the American coach their desire, or lack of desire to be placed on the American team due to time or commitment level. There are no American teams in the 3rd grade and these try-outs will only require one session.

All the following events will take place at the St. Joan of Arc gym.
